Window Cleaning Terms and Conditions

By using our Window Cleaning Service you agree to our terms and conditions of business

1.0 Initial visit

For your first clean only there is a one off charge to cover the additional time taken on the initial clean to get them up to the excellent standard we then keep them at, this varies with house size and frequency of ongoing cleans, this will be explained when signing up.

1.1 What can I expect

Our pure water cleaning system and Water Fed Poles are very effective at cleaning general dirt from your windows. If you have builders residue like plaster, concrete and paint etc. or stickers and adhesive, staining/discolouration on windows or frames from chemicals or rust and UV bleaching of frames on your windows, pure water will not be effective at removing these, please notify us when we call to arrange your first clean as we can often make a huge improvement on these issues using our specialist professional techniques which we can provide a quote for.

1.2 How often will we visit

We offer the choice of every 4, 6 or 12 weekly visits. We ask for some flexibility on time scales due to rain and other factors of a week either side of the time due. If you need to be present to allow access to the rear of your property or for interior cleaning, we will be as specific as possible regarding timings but as a minimum we can confirm either AM or PM to complete the cleaning service.

1.3 Bad Weather

We will always try to not clean your windows in heavy rain, however we do still work in light rain or short showers. With the UK’s typical weather raining for on average a 3rd of the year, it isn’t viable to only clean on dry days unfortunately. Our Handy Guarantee means we guarantee the results will be the same or we will revisit to clean them again for free so don’t worry. If the rain is heavy, we will not clean your windows. Instead, your clean will carry over to the next working day.

1.4 Turning us away

We pride ourselves on our reliability, we hugely appreciate your custom and we make time and space in our cleaning schedule to clean your windows, it is too late on the day of the clean to reschedule unfortunately and we reserve the right to charge you the full price expected. We also reserve the right to charge the full price expected if access on the day has not been made available by the customer. However we are extremely reasonable and understand things come up sometimes!

1.5 Ending our services

If for one reason or another you should wish to cancel our services you have the right to do so at any time. This can be done by telephone on 07464210758 / 08002118005 or by email to info@handyprofessionalservices.co.uk.

When engaging in our services for our regular cleaning schedule, you agree to a minimum of 3 cleans. If cancelling before 3 cleans have taken place the remaining cleans will be payable.

1.6 What to do if you’re not happy - Complaints procedure

We will always try to provide you with the best possible service every time we clean your windows. If for any reason you are not satisfied with our work, you must please contact us within 24 hours of the clean. We will then return the next working day to re clean your windows for free as part of our Handy Guarantee. Please note that complaints made after 24 hours may not be re cleaned. Please also note we operate a no refund policy, we will rectify work you are not happy with free of charge under our Handy Guarantee provided we are informed within 24 hours of the clean date.

 

1.7 Confidentiality

All information held is kept on a confidential database and is not discussed or shared with any individual or company, in line with the Data Protection Act.

1.8 Payments - How to pay for our services

The easiest way to pay when joining our 4, 6 or 12 weekly rounds is to pay via our direct debit system ‘Gocardless’ which can be set up on our website payments page. It avoids you needing to leave cash out and us needing to collect payment. Via the DD system, you are notified after the clean and payments are then automatically collected 5 days after each clean. Payment will not be taken until after the clean has been completed.

Customers booking one of services such as gutter clearing/conservatory cleaning who are not joining our regular rounds can pay by bank transfer in advance or cash on the day.
